When we met our client Nicole her formal living room was a blank slate.
Our client wanted to paint the room but with it being so close to her hosting the holidays, she put a pause on painting and went full steam ahead with furnishing the space.
Our client wanted this room to have a southern comfy, cozy farmhouse feel.
I don’t know about you but we never get tired of beautiful farmhouse decor. To us, you don’t need to live out in the country or have a chicken coop in your backyard to bring farmhouse charm into your home.
In this living room we were able to take our client’s love of farmhouse coziness to the next level with so many incredible antiques. Trunks double as side tables, her Father’s deer head serves as a focal point of the gallery wall and an antique church window showcases an intricate design.
We wanted the look of this living room to feel as though it evolved over time. A new couch and mirror paired with antique shutters works to give the space character.
For this project we mixed styles and fabrics that alluded to southern charm. A nod to the past but brought into the present this farmhouse living room truly achieves a timeless setting.
Antique trunks are the perfect substitute for the everyday end table. The use of antiques in this space help take the farmhouse charm to the next level. To learn more about our in-home styling services you can email urbanfarmhousemarketli@gmail.com
