In-Home Styling HOLIDAY EDITION

In-Home Styling HOLIDAY EDITION

When we first met our client Nicole she had just moved into her new home. Nicole had a vision for her family living room along with a garage full of unbelievable antiques.

Nicole moved from a house built in the late 1800s to a home built around 2009. When I first asked Nicole how she would describe her style she exclaimed "farmhouse clutter!"

Nicole further explained she wanted to use a lot of her antiques and make her new house feel like a home. Nicole expressed her previous house was full of dark furniture and now she wanted everything light, white and airy.

Challenge accepted! We decorated Nicole's living room in early December. We first had a painter come and white wash the brick of her fireplace. What a difference a coat of paint can make. With a lighter color fireplace we could seamlessly incorporate the white, light and airy Nicole was going for.

One of my absolute favorite elements of this room is the antique apple picking ladder in the corner. I have NEVER seen one of these in person before. Adorned with a neutral garland with gold bells this is something I could see living in this space all year round.

If you shopped in Urban Farmhouse Furnishings this holiday season then you would recognize this flocked Christmas tree. Nicole saw this tree and fell completely in love and purchased the entire tree as it was displayed in the store.

The hallmarks of Nicole's style are brought out through the use of natural materials, rustic charm, soft textures and warm furnishings. By combining all of these elements we created the warm and welcoming feel that Nicole wanted to create in her new home.

Looking where this room started and where we are now is heartwarming. This actually isn't even the completed version of this space. Since taking this photos we added a top to the TV wall unit, two arm charms, an ottoman and a chandelier to name a few of the additions.

We are extremely blessed to be working on more rooms in this home that we cannot wait to share them with you. What do you all think of this transformation?! Looking at this photo makes me think I never want Christmas to end. To learn more about our in-home styling services you can email urbanfarmhousemarketli@gmail.com
